Chanoine Frères is the second oldest Champagne house, founded under the reign of Louis XV. Pierre Chanoine founded Chanoine Frères in 1730, digging the first Champagne wine cellars on rue du Faubourg in Epernay to store his wines in bottles instead of barrels, following the royal edict of March 25, 1728.
It is the transmission of three hundred years of know-how from generation to generation that enables us to offer quality wines with character. Nowadays, forty or so passionate experts perpetuate the Chanoine style and take particular care in making these wines. Our teams are driven by trust, sharing and camaraderie on a daily basis.
Chanoine Frères remains true to the spirit of their founders by creating champagne blends built mainly around Pinot Noir grapes. They are complemented by adding chardonnay and meunier to produce structured, fresh and fruity wines.
